This Domestic Shorthair (or American Shorthair) is also known as a tabby. It's an old fashioned term, but any vet would be able to recognize it!

According to wikipedia:

A tabby is a cat with a distinctive coat that features stripes, dots and/or swirling patterns. Tabbies are often mistakenly assumed to be a breed of cat. In fact, the tabby pattern is a naturally occurring feature that may be the original coloration of the domestic cat's distant ancestors. Tabby coloration is found in many breeds of cat, as well as among the general 'moggy' (mixed-breed or mongrel) population. When cats are allowed to breed randomly, the coloration of the population tends toward brown mackerel tabbies with green eyes, like humans with brown hair and green eyes, of which leading geneticists to believe that this is the common wild phenotype of the domestic cat.

The word comes from French tabis, which was earlier atabis, and in medieval Latin attabi. The initial origin of the word seems to be from the Attabiyah section of Baghdad where a type of striped silk was made that was later used to describe cats.

I'll bet that's more than you wanted to know!!!What kind of kitten is this? He is brown and black with cream color. He also has big ears and green eyes.?
From the sparkly blue collar I'm guessing some sort of 'disco kitty'.
The American Shorthair is an actual breed of cat. Domestic Shorthair (the old name for the American Shorthair) is the most commonly used name for any unpedigreed cat. Basically, we don't know what it is. Your cat's coloring, on the other hand looks like a Classic Tabby.
american shorthair. you can tell by the ';M'; on his forhead.
A DSH marbled grey/black tiger. See them all the time and I have two like that myself.
